Pennington’s Cakes has been a tradition in Central Texas since 1962.
Custom Cakes are our specialty. Bring your sketches, magazine pictures, or even pictures of your parent's wedding cake, and we will help design the cake of your dreams. We will gladly assist you in selecting the flavor and designs which best suit your event and personal taste.
We can recommend area florists if you choose fresh flowers as a part of your cake design.
Because of the individual attention to detail, to best serve you, a suggested time line for wedding cake planning is six months in advance.
Our “Simply Divine Cakes” are moderately priced and have four flavors of cake and fillings to choose from. All the decorations in this grouping are piped from buttercream icing.
The “Classic Elegance” group of cakes has more flavors and fillings, and more elaborate designs, many using royal icing and/or fondant decorations.
We make delicious Groom’s Cakes in a variety of great flavors. We can make the traditional designs or customize the cake to reflect the personality of the Groom.

Wedding Cakes - Pricing and Fees
$2.50 - $12.00 / serving, Minimum Order $150.00
Delivery Fees & Area: Variable delivery charges based on distance from shop. We deliver to all of Central Texas within a 100 mile radius from the shop, and will consider further distances. Minimum delivery and setup charge - $22.50.
Setup Process & Fees: included in delivery charge.
Room Decorating Fee: above our delivery and set up, we can provide room decorating service - $200.00 includes cake placement, table set up and room decorations.
Cutting & Serving Fee: we do not provide this service at present
Save the Date Deposit: $100.00
Security Deposit: $150.00 on stands/platforms and/or $75.00 on columns and plates
Rental fees: $15.00 for stand rental up to five days
Birthday, Anniversary, Special Occasion Cakes - Pricing and Fees
We have two categories of cake pricing - a Regular cake and a Custom cake, defined as follows:
Regular Cake
** Iced in vanilla buttercream of white or ivory color
** Decorated with floral, stars, balloons, streamers, fiesta, etc. or our choice of seasonal décor. A maximum of three colors used in decoration.
** A regular cake can be a two-layer round cake or a single-layer sheet cake.
** Flavors included are:
Cake - White, Yellow, Lemon, Chocolate Fudge, Orange or Strawberry
Filling - Vanilla buttercream, Pineapple, Strawberry, Lemon
Icing - Vanilla Buttercream
Custom Cake
** any icing, any color
** a custom hand-drawn design - logos, cartoons, matching party themes, more than three colors as needed for the design.
** any shape of cake - round, sheet, square, hexagon, heart, etc. Additional charges apply for carved or sculpted cakes
** includes all the flavors of a Regular cake, plus our Custom Flavors, described below:
Cake - Strawberry Swirl, Chocolate Swirl, Red Velvet, Carrot Cake, Italian Cream, German Chocolate, Coconut, Tres Leches (+ $7.50/cake), Lactose Free, Gluten Free (+ $12.50/cake), or Sugar Free (+ $10.00/cake).
Fillings - Raspberry, Caramel, Chocolate or Mocha Ganache, any flavor Custard, Mango Habanera, Key Lime, any Buttercream
Icings - Cream Cheese, Fruit or Liqueur-Flavored Buttercream, Chocolate Buttercream, Hot poured Fudge, Caramel, 7-Mimute White ( with or without Coconut), Orange, Strawberry
** any cake type or flavor not on this menu can be a special order - may require additional fees

Smash Cakes: When ordering a 1st Birthday Cake, an additional single-layer 6” buttercream smash cake may be purchased for $6.00. For any other age birthday, an additional single-layer 6” smash cake is $8.50. A single-layer 6” cake that is not in addition to a larger birthday cake is priced at 1/2 the cost of a regular or custom 6" two-layer cake.
Tiered Cakes: All Stacked Cakes are figured at the custom cake price, plus an additional fee of $5.00/tier for stacking. Example: a three-tiered cake consisting of 6”, 8”, 10” rounds = $112.50 plus $5.00 stacking fee per extra tier (2 x $5) - $122.50 total.
